Heather Stewart & Kelly Koford would like to invite you to participate in a local service opportunity. Check out the message from Heather below:
Many of you may remember when our church delivered bags of "weekend" food to a local elementary school for children in danger of not eating over the weekend. Another organization in our area does the very same thing, and they need our help. Backpack Beginnings has been supplying bags of food every Friday at 13 area schools, and their food supplies are running low. We delivered 50 bags one Friday, but there were only 30 bags available for the very same school the next week. It is hard to pack up your car and leave when there are many more cars in line that need food.
We would like to invite you to help by donating food to backpack beginnings. Given that we are unable to meet publicly, Kelly & Heather are volunteering to pick up the food from the doorstep of anyone who is able to contribute. In order to maintain safety for all involved, they will take precautions by wearing gloves and masks so that the pickup will be socially distanced. If you have any questions or would like to make a contribution, please call or text Heather Stewart at 336-549-4508. Additionally, if you prefer not to shop right now, they can do the shopping for you. Just give them a call to make arrangements!
We thank you so much for any donations!
